On a Hypervolt 2, wait until the speed is off and the attachment has stopped moving before changing heads. Hyperice states both conditions in the operating instructions. A head that looks easy to grab is still not ready to remove while it is moving. This guide concerns the Hypervolt 2; it does not establish compatibility with another model's attachments. [1]
Identify what you are changing
Check the device name before applying a removal method from a video or a different manual. Keep the attachment set and the correct instructions together so another household member can identify them. Hyperice says to use the device only as intended and not to use attachments the manufacturer does not recommend. [1]
A similar shape or a stem that appears to fit is not evidence of approval. If the source of a replacement head is unclear, have Hyperice confirm compatibility before using it. This article does not recommend or link to a replacement product.
Power and movement are separate checks
The manual says to unplug the device when putting on or taking off parts. Its attachment section also specifies turning the speed off and waiting for the head to stop. Read those instructions together rather than treating a button press as permission to grab a still-moving component. [1]
Set up the change away from an ongoing massage session. Make sure another person is not holding the device against their body while you try to remove its head. If the control or motion does not behave as expected, stop the change and use the manufacturer's support route.
Use the stated removal and insertion direction
For the Hypervolt 2, the manual says to pull the existing attachment straight out, then insert the desired head directly into the opening while pushing firmly. The fork attachment has an additional alignment step: its tab must line up with the groove in the opening. [1]
That is a model-specific instruction, not a universal push-fit rule for every massage gun. The manual does not authorize prying, drilling, or modifying an incompatible part. If you cannot identify the fork's alignment features or the head will not install as instructed, get clarification rather than increasing force or altering it.
Keep the moving connection clear
Hyperice warns to keep fingers, toes, hair, and other body parts away from the back of the attachment head because of pinching and entanglement. It also warns against operating near loose clothing or jewelry and says to keep long hair away during use. [1]
Before resuming, check the space around the connection, not just the front surface of the head. An attachment change does not authorize using the device on a new body area or treating an injury; those questions belong to the full operating and medical precautions.
Stop at an unexplained fault
The manual directs owners not to operate a damaged or malfunctioning device and prohibits disassembly. Record the model, attachment, and observed problem for support. Do not open the housing to investigate a head that will not stop or a connection that behaves abnormally. [1]
